Is Harnad Connect an official WhatsApp solution?
Connect runs on Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) and onboards numbers through Meta’s Embedded Signup. There’s no WhatsApp Web automation involved.
Do I pay Meta separately for messages?
Yes. Meta charges per-message WhatsApp fees to the card on your WhatsApp Business Account. Your Harnad Connect plan is a separate subscription. The Usage & Cost page shows Meta’s billed numbers so there are no surprises.
How do I get the verified badge?
Complete business verification in Meta Business Manager, then apply for Meta Verified for Business. Meta reviews and decides eligibility. Numbers connected through Connect stay on the official platform that qualifies.
Which number can I connect?
Any number you can register on the WhatsApp Business Platform. Embedded Signup walks you through selecting or adding the number and verifying it by SMS or voice call.
How do AI agents work?
Create an agent with a system prompt and your own Gemini API key, then enable AI replies on a number’s settings. The agent answers incoming messages instead of your static auto-reply, optionally remembering conversation history.
What happens when I hit a plan limit?
Connect tells you which limit you reached — numbers, contacts, agents or history depth — and takes you to Billing. Templates are never limited.
